Community Concerts Continue with AYA Piano Trio on March 30

March 11, 2025

As part of our new artist residency program for Marlboro Music artists, the AYA Piano Trio will be in residence on Potash Hill this spring. Their residency includes a free concert for the community, on Sunday, March 30 at 2 pm in Ragle Hall. The ensemble will perform music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Fazıl Say, and Antonin Dvořák. Admission is free, but due to the popularity of these performances, reservations are now required. Please follow the link to reserve your seats. Seating is general admission (first come, first served). We hope you can join us!

Marlboro Music’s artist residency program brings exceptional emerging artists and ensembles to campus for deep creative work and informal concert offerings. The AYA Piano Trio, which features current Marlboro Music violinist Angela Sing Yin Chan, will use their residency to prepare for the recording of their first album, to rehearse intensively, and share their talents with our local community.

AYA (pronounced as ay-why-ay) Piano Trio was formed in 2013 at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where its members studied extensively and worked closely with renowned chamber musicians and soloists including members of the Guarneri Quartet and Beaux Arts Trio. The trio has performed extensively across the U.S. in both recital and competition stages and has won many prizes, including first prize in the Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition and finalist in the Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition. The ensemble is in the process of recording their debut album, featuring works by Clara Schumann, Fazil Say, and a new work commissioned for the group.
